The transport officer will be required to oversee fleet of around 80 vehicles and supervise Workshop staffs to ensure maintenance of fleet in a timely manner.
Main duties
Supervise workshop team to ensure maintenance is carried out on company vehicles in a timely manner.
Plan preventive maintenance and servicing on company vehicles.
Liaise and close follow up with external parties for major repairs as and when required.
Plan renewal of insurance covers, motor vehicle licenses and fitness in a timely manner to ensure compliance to Road Traffic Act.
Liaise with insurance company for processing of claims in case of accidents and ensure all relevant documents are sent in a timely manner to ease claim process.
Assist the Manager to prepare budget for maintenance, renewal of licenses and purchases of new vehicles on a yearly basis.
Conduct inspections on vehicles at regular intervals to flag damage, defects and other safety hazards.
Required skills / Qualifications
Diploma in Logistics & Transport Management or Mechanical Engineering
Holder of a Valid Driving License (Private Car).
At least 3 years of experience in a similar and/or supervisory role.
Able to multitask, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Possess analytical mindset and quick problem-solving skills.
Solid negotiation skills to deal with suppliers and contractors efficiently.
Sound knowledge of Road Traffic Act and other relevant laws and regulations.
