Our Growers

Through close collaboration with local farmers, SKC Surat strongly promotes a scheme favouring sustainable agriculture. SKC Surat aims to transform the fruit and vegetable supply into one that provides healthy, affordable, and sustainably produced food for all Mauritians.

Our initiatives:

• Sharing information and knowledge with our growers on sustainable agriculture concepts
• Providing administrative support through field techniques, regular visits from our field technicians, and assistance with paperwork
• Holding meetings to discuss issues before, during, and after harvest to find solutions together
• Inspecting and controlling the use of chemicals in the field
• Planning and monitoring our growers’ harvest calendars.
